ACCOMPANYING . . . my monthly favorites videos on YouTube will be a playlist of all my favorite jams from this month. So for the first half of this month, I was in a constant state of "West coast = best coast" and that really reflected my music choices (see: Real Estate, Best Coast). And all I really wanted to hear was some songs with sweet guitar riffs that I could imagine myself listening to while laying on the coast or cruising down Pacific Coast Highway.

I also introduced to my floor mate the beauty known as Fleetwood Mac/Steve Nicks and we spent countless nights singing to Edge of Seventeen in her dorm room when we should've been studying. Then I was vibing some more "experimental"/electronic music for the second half of Feb. and was really digging Active Child's Playing House. Finally, I stopped daydreaming and actually got around to doing some homework and needed an energy boost at 2AM while writing some essays. And that's where R. Kelly came in. Because if singing to "beep beep, runnin' her hands thru my fro" doesn't keep you awake at night, quite frankly, I don't know what will.
